The Yangtze River Expressway is a key construction project in the 11th Five-Year Plan of Guangdong Province. It is another important north-south expressway in the Pearl River Delta region after the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway. The Shenzhen section of the Yanjiang Expressway starts at Dongbao River Bridge in the north, and reaches Yuehai Street in Nanshan District in the south. It is connected to Yueliangwan Avenue and Dongbin Road (Dongbin Tunnel), and 99.7% is bridge engineering. The Shenzhen section of the Yangtze River Expressway connects the Shenzhen Western Industrial Cluster, Shenzhen Airport and Shenzhen Dachan Bay Port. At the same time, it will serve as the main channel for the three port areas of Shekou, Chiwan and Dachan Bay in the west, which will help to better realize the city of Shenzhen. The separation of traffic and port traffic eases urban traffic pressure.
